We understand that visa booking involves your most sensitive personal information — passport number, DS-160, AIS password. This Privacy Policy explains how meiqian.ca collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.
1. Who We Are
meiqian.ca is a self-service US visa AIS appointment booking platform for applicants in Canada.

2. What We Collect
To provide US visa AIS auto-booking service, we collect:
• Notification email
• AIS login email and password (encrypted at rest)
• Applicant information: name / passport number / date of birth / DS-160 / visa type / Group ID
• Payment information (processed only by Stripe; we do not store credit card details)
• Access logs (IP / browser / timestamp, for security and diagnostics)
3. Why We Collect
We use this information only for:
(a) Auto-booking your US visa interview slot
(b) Email notifications about booking results and payment links
(c) Providing customer support
(d) Fraud prevention
We will not use your information for marketing, user profiling, AI training, or sell it to any third party.
4. Retention
We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal and tax obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Payment records (Stripe charge-ID metadata only — no card details) are retained as required by Canadian tax law.

5. Data Sharing
We share necessary data only with the following service providers:
• Stripe — payment processing (PCI DSS Level 1)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection
All providers operate under DPAs (Data Processing Agreements) and are governed by Canadian and US law.
We do not share your personal information with any mainland China company, marketing/advertising platform, or third-party analytics platform.
We comply with valid Canadian or US court orders only, notifying you when legally permitted.
6. Your Rights
Under Canadian PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25, you have the right to:
• Access — query what information we hold about you
• Correct — request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete — request deletion of your data
• Portability — export your data in machine-readable format
• Complain — file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC)

We use only essential cookies:
• portal_query_token — session JWT (30-day expiry)
• Cloudflare Turnstile — anti-bot (session)
• Stripe — payment page (cross-domain, managed by Stripe)
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Minors
This service is not offered to users under 18. If a customer's applicant group includes minors, their information is submitted with consent from their legal guardian (the primary applicant).
9. Cross-Border Data Transfer
Where cross-border data transfer is necessary, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses), and your personal data is protected by Canadian and US law.
10. Policy Changes
We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any policy change takes effect. Material changes require your reconfirmation.
